Air Washers are extremely quiet in operation and only produce a gentle noise reminiscent of white noise. Models with an additional water tank work on the principle of a bird bath. Every now and then, there may be "gurgling" noises when water flows into the tub. These noises are perfectly normal and a sign that the device is working properly.
Air Washers can contribute to the purification of indoor air, but they are primarily designed for air humidification.

Occasional, short-term noises can occur especially when the water is heated. Otherwise, vaporizers are rather quiet in operation, and their noises are usually only perceptible in the background.
Please always place your Steamer on a stable surface on the floor! A Steamer should never be placed on an elevated surface, as this can pose several safety hazards such as tipping over and the uneven distribution of the steam!

The S250 & S450 are equipped with a hygrometer, which automatically regulates the power of the device to reach the selected humidity. When this value is reached, the device no longer emits steam. If the desired value has not yet been reached and no steam is escaping, please read the next section.

If your appliance no longer emits steam, please check whether there are limescale residues on the heating plate. For your safety, this device is equipped with an automatic safety shut-off of the heating plate, which is triggered in the event of heavy limescale residue. Please clean your device as described in the user manual.

E1 stands for a problem with filling the Ultrasonic chamber. This means that no / too little water flows in. Possible causes:
1) The A250 filter cartridge contains air or is clogged. Please remove the A250 and try again. If that works, water the cartridge again or replace it.
2) Refill valve or float glued. Dissolve some CalcOff in lukewarm water and add it to both chambers. Leave it on and turn the device on/off several times

BONECO Ultrasonic Humidifiers work with very high frequencies (approx. 3 MHz), which are outside the audible range of humans and pets. By comparison, very few animals such as bats and some dolphins can perceive this high frequency.
